Review: The Serviced Residences at Kasa Luntian, Tagaytay
Tagaytay has been a go-to destination for quick getaways for decades. Hence, the bevy of lodging options that pop up year after year.
Run-of-the-mill hotels and inns are aplenty while boutique hotels that boast exclusivity and tranquility are either super expensive, far from where the action is, or both.
But just a few minutes from Tagaytay City Market, one will reach Kasa Luntian.
Alveo Land, a subsidiary of Ayala Land, developed Kasa Luntian as its first foray into leisure developments. In collaboration with Hospitality Innovators Inc. (HII)–the same property management that manages Azumi Boutique Hotel, Parque España, Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences et al–the units of The Serviced Residences at Kasa Luntian promise cool stays with warm service.
The community doesn’t look much from the Tagaytay-Calamba road level, but you’ll be surprised how expansive its premises are. I’m amazed that the location is very accessible yet it feels pretty secluded once you’re inside.
Front Desk is located at The Lanai – a strip of restaurants and commercial establishments.
Manpreet, the Front Desk Officer, warmly greeted us. She then served their pandan welcome drink while I was filling out the form.
After briefly going through the house rules and making the Php1,000 incidental deposit, she handed over our electronic key together with a slip containing the WiFi password and the front desk mobile numbers, in case we need to contact them while out in Tagaytay. Cool, right?
Manpreet then walked us to our One Bedroom Suite at the Sinag Building. She also gave us a brief tour of the place.
At 55 sqm., our One Bedroom Suite can easily fit a family/group of 4. There’s so much space to move around.
We love the suite’s furnishing. It’s modern and fresh yet cozy at the same time. Personally, I get a resort vibe. 🙂
The large window and sliding door allows natural light and the Tagaytay breeze to come in.
Speaking of breeze, in keeping with the community’s aim for clean surroundings, all units are non-smoking. However, they have a designated smoking area near the parking lot.
Our bed is big and very comfortable. The pillows and sheets smell fresh that it’s so tempting to just stay in bed the whole day.
There’s ample closet space to fit the family’s stuff.
The safe, hairdryer, fluffy bathrobes, slippers, and laundry bag are in the bigger closet.
By the way, we also found a ‘secret’ storage space in the living room behind what we thought was just a decorative painting. It’s large enough to store luggage(s), a baby’s stroller, a set of golf clubs, and whatnot.
I appreciate that beach towels were also provided. They even threw in a tiny bottle of citronella oil. With the lush surroundings, it’s inevitable that there will be mosquitoes. It was a very thoughtful gesture.
All units managed by The Serviced Residences has a balcony, but not all of them has a view overlooking the cascading pools. Anyway, what’s more important is you can enjoy swimming until 10:00 pm. Just take note that they’re still working on the pool heating, so for now, the best time to go swimming is around noon to early afternoon. The water can get pretty chilly late afternoon onwards.
We were also impressed with the fully equipped kitchen. You literally have everything you’ll need to cook a meal. Having said that, you can book the ‘room only’ option and just make your own breakfast.
I was also very happy that the vanity/sink, toilet, and bath are separate. Imagine there’s 4 of you in the suite and you only have a toilet and bath. You’ll have to wait for the other person to finish their business first before you can do yours. So, kudos to the designer.
The cascading pool and lush landscape is definitely the draw of Kasa Luntian. It immediately calms your senses and puts you in a relaxed mood. It brought back the Tagaytay I know – relaxing and refreshing.
Ms. Paula, the Operations Manager, together with Manpreet and AJ, were kind enough to give me a brief tour of the property.
Kasa Luntian has 2 function rooms at 70 sqm each. It’s ideal for small meetings and intimate gatherings.
I also got a glimpse of the Junior Suite.
Save for the living room and kitchen counter, it has the same amenities as that of the One Bedroom Suite. It’s also quite spacious at 40 sqm.
The bathroom layout, however, is different. The toilet and bath are only separated by a glass partition.
Construction of 2-bedroom suites are underway and are expected to be ready by March 2018.
They’re also planning to put a gym and spa. I feel like the spa would complete the R&R experience. Can’t wait to check that out. 🙂
Relaxing stays are in our nature
They don’t have their own cafe yet, so breakfast is served at Taza Mia. They had a function during our stay and they were kind enough to deliver the breakfast in our room. The breakfast was tasty and very satisfying.
Thanks to the management and staff of The Serviced Residences at Kasa Luntian, we really didn’t worry about a single thing during our stay. We were very well taken care of. We highly recommend it to family and friends.
