Rixos The Palm, Dubai

While we enjoyed our time in Atlantis, we needed a vacation from vacation before going back home, and Rixos The Palm fit the bill. It’s probably the most ‘affordable’ of all hotels in Palm Jumeirah, too.

Arriving at Rixos was like stepping in an airport. But seriously, we’re digging the industrial interiors.

And our Sea View Room? Understatedly luxurious!

The bathroom is immediately to your right upon entering the room, so my eyes instantly gravitated towards the freestanding tub.

There’s a separate toilet and bath, and luxurious toiletries, and plush towels and robes are also provided.

The beds might not be as big as Atlantis’, but it’s comfortable, nonetheless.

At 53 sqm., there’s plenty of space to move around, yet the room’s still very homey. It’s actually my future bedroom peg. 🙂

Food was delicious, of generous serving, and reasonably priced. Room service was commendable, too.

We learned about the complimentary water taxi service to JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence), and we thought it was perfect since we reserved dinner at Hilton Dubai Walk. Unfortunately, it was only offered before noon and early in the afternoon. So instead, we availed of the complimentary shuttle service to and from Mall of the Emirates, and took the metro to JBR.

Being a Sea View Room, the sliding doors open up to a private balcony with daybeds.

Our room was only a few steps from White X, Rixos The Palm‘s private beach club, and the pool.

White X would have been packed and bustling at night with live entertainment, ladies’ night and international DJs, but we went during Eid so we had a pretty quiet night.

I tried to wake up early the next day so I can dip in the pool before it becomes too crowded.

But if you prefer the beach than the pool, then knock yourself out because being at the tip of Crescent Road, Rixos The Palm probably has one of the longest shorelines in Palm Jumeirah.

While it might not be strategically located, it’s perfect if seclusion and downtime are what you’re after.
