Tune Hotels Cebu City

We only had a night in Cebu City so we wanted to stay somewhere decent but still within our budget, and that's when I came across Tune Hotels.

From the airport, we just hailed a cab, and after about an hour or so of being stuck in traffic, arrived at Tune. It’s fairly easy to find and the cab driver is familiar since it is located within Cebu Business Park.

The building looks really new and there’s a convenience store in the parking lot.

The bellhop took our bags and ushered us to the spacious lobby on the second floor. Check in was also a breeze. I just had to present the printed reservation form and was handed our room key card, the television remote control and bags with towels and toiletries.

Our room was at the 5^th floor. Everything looked really clean and new, and the hallway was well-lit. 

The housekeeping staff was also very courteous.

As expected, the room was quite small but what’s important is it’s clean and the amenities are in good condition. There’s enough space for two people to move around.

There’s a wall-mounted flat screen TV, fold-away side table, and enough power outlets for charging your gadgets. We even had an in-room safe. Additionally, there’s a ceiling fan should you opt out of the air conditioning service.

The bathroom was spotless, and has hot and cold shower with rainshower head. And yes, they have a bidet, too.

Adjacent to the bathroom is a full-body mirror and a built-in hair dryer.

Just a minor concern, though, is the bathroom door which is made of frosted glass. You can still somehow see the other person inside.

Casa Verde’s David Dean’s Tenderloin

Single USDA steak on top of a mound of mashed potatoes and topped with cheese. Served with brown sauce and garnished with fried onions and roasted almonds.

Anyway, dining options are aplenty since it’s just a few minutes walk to Ayala Center. We went there for dinner and to meet up with fellow bloggers.

I was surprised The Terraces look a lot like Greenbelt where most yuppies hang out. There’s lots of shops and restaurants, and some were even starting to put up Christmas decors. Reminds me I should check out Zalora’s Christmas Bazaar really soon.

What’s unique about this hotel is you can actually choose which amenities you want to pay for. For example, if you will be out most of the time, you have the option to just pay for 12-hour air conditioning instead of 24 or maybe opt out on the TV service. You can also opt out on toiletries and towel and/or WiFi.

We booked through their website and opted to get the 'Cozy Package' since it is cheaper than just adding the add-ons piecemeal. We paid only a little less than Php1,900* for 2 persons.
