Christmas Lunch at Uncle Cheffy

Like last year's Christmas, my mom and I just went out with our relatives for lunch. This time we went to Solenad, Nuvali. 


As expected, most restaurants were full except for Claw Daddy so we decided to give it a try. My aunt perused the menu and placed the order. A couple of minutes later, the waiter came back and told us that 4 of the items we ordered were not available. Kaya naman pala walang kumakain! Aba'y magsara na sila! So we left to look for other options. Good thing Uncle Cheffy is just a stone's throw away. 


Here's what my aunt ordered for us:

Uncle Cheffy Favorites Brick Oven Panizza

oven dried tomatoes, mushroom, garlic, anchovy, chili flakes, basil and 3 cheese

If you're not big on meat or vegetables, this panizza is the perfect balance.

Another appetizer - Crunchy Calamares Sambal

Memphis Barbecue US Beef Back Ribs - with salad, marble potato, and sauces

I think my aunt just ordered the Junior size but god, look how big the serving is! The meat is very tender and absorbed the sauce really well.

Sea Food Tom Yang 'Sinigang'

Spicy and sour soup with prawns, clams, mussel, salmon, and snapper -- this is already a meal on its own. 

Asian Fried Rice

Barbecued Tuna Belly in creamy ala pobre with arugula and tomato salad (?) 

not sure since I was not able to taste this one

Uncle Cheffy Salad

Crispy pork belly, asparagus, potato and mesclun in dijonnaise dressing

This is another winner! The pork belly is crispy yet tender. Everyone also loved the dressing.

Fish Barbecue Platter

Combination of Cream Dory, Garoupa, Salmon and Tuna Belly served with tomato salsa, teriyaki and creamy garlic sauce

Don't ask me which is which. I wouldn't know. :p

Panacotta with Ube Vichysoisse

Wines are also available

To say that we were full and satisfied with our meal is an understatement. :)


Prices may be a bit on the high side but is justified by the quality of food, serving size (I believe most items are good for sharing), and good service.
