Boracay Chronicles: The Birthday
This is it! It's my birthday yay! BF originally wanted to give his gift by midnight but I was already asleep and he didn't want to wake me up haha so he gave it first thing in the morning.
Our second day was an action-packed day so we hurriedly went to the restaurant to have breakfast.
His continental breakfast
After breakfast, we went to D'Mall - which by the way is a few steps away from our hotel - to meet up with Randy.
Of course we just have to have our picture taken in one of the sand castles
I'm quite disappointed with this because it's not as close as how they cook it in Dampa
We finished all the activities around 3:00 pm so we had 'early dinner' at MaƱana Mexican restaurant. I have to say that this restaurant alone saved my frustration over the food in Boracay. It really is one of the best!
This is very good. The beef was tender and the veggies were fresh.
This is my favorite! The cheese was so flavorful but not overpowering.
After a very satisfying meal, we went back to the hotel to rest. We went out again past 5:00 pm for the famous Boracay sunset. It was cloudy that day so we were only able to get a peek of the sun from behind the clouds. It was relaxing nonetheless.
After watching the sunset, we had some gelato from Don Vito. It's only Php100 for two scoops. You can even order two scoops of different flavors.
I had Hazelnut and Ferrero & he had Bubblegum and Pistachio (very odd combo)
There weren't many island parties when we were there. Probably because it's lean season. BF wanted to have some drinks and decided to try out Hobbit House for their wide selection of international beers. Bad idea! Their beers are overpriced. We paid Php600+ for two beers! As a consolation I just thought to myself that we were helping the midgets.
