Boracay ATV
I did some research on the rates for Boracay activities but it varies from site to site. I have a PexEr friend who went there earlier this year so she gave me the number of their guide.
I texted the guide two weeks before our scheduled trip to inquire on the rates but he said that we can talk about it when we get there. BF also did some research so we somehow have an idea on the price range that we can use to haggle with my contact.
Since we arrived past noon on our first day, we decided to just save our energy and do the activities the following day (my birthday!) so we just met up with our contact and negotiated on the price. He gave us a package of Php3,600 for 2 pax (that I was able to haggle for Php3,500) for island hopping with snorkeling, ATV, helmet diving and Zorb. I'd like to believe that this was a good deal. We gave him a downpayment of Php500.00. I asked for a provisional receipt just to be sure but he didn't have any, so instead he just left his ID with me. Fair enough.
NOTE: We still had to pay some miscellaneous fees for the other activities. This will be discussed on my other posts.
We were supposed to do island hopping first but our guide suggested that we do the ATV first instead since a group of Koreans and Taiwanese will be there in the afternoon. We went to the back of D'Mall to get a tricycle to take us to the ATV rentals. Tricycle was Php100.00.
When we got there, they sat us down for a briefing on how long the ATV ride will take, our route, some stopovers for picture-taking with entrance fees, the practice and that one should inform after the practice if he/she can do the ATV or not. We were then asked to sign waivers and pay for the fee.
Here's the breakdown:
- ATV x 2 pax Php800.00
- Entrance fee to Everland Aviary x 2 pax Php120.00
- Entrance fee to Tanawin view deck x 2 pax Php100.00
Php1,020.00
They then dressed us with safety gears such as helmet, and elbows and knee pads.
We rode our respective ATVs and went to the practice track to get us familiarized on how to operate the ATV. Once that was finished and we confirmed that we can perform the ride, it's time to go uphill!
Our first stop was supposed to be at Everland Aviary kaso lumagpas raw ako sabi ni manong so carry na lang to the next stop hehe. Our next and last stop was at Tanawin Luxury Apartments' view deck. Here you can see Boracay from a bird's eye view.
We then stopped at Everland Aviary to have some picture-taking. I hope this was optional na lang since there's nothing much to see there except for the birds (of course) and other animals, and to think that entrance is Php60.00/pax.

ReplyDeleteIt's quite far from D'Mall. You need to ride a tricycle to get there.
